Video clips of a Barred Owl (Strix varia) on campus 14 Nov 2013 by Collins Memorial Library. First spotted by Pete WImberger at 9 am, relocated about 1 pm, and the focal point of an observation post for much of the afternoon led by Mary Krauszer and docents. In the video, the owl watches mobbing crows hopping and flying about in the trees. There was one additional report on the Museum FB page of an observation at Orchard an N 42nd Oct 29th. If you see or hear a mob of crows, look for an owl.usually on a branch near the trunk.
