The northern cardinal (Cardinalis cardinalis) is a North American bird in the genus Cardinalis; Cardinal bird is also known colloquially as redbird or common cardinal. These redbirds can be found in southern Canada, through the eastern United States from Maine to Texas and south through Mexico.
Red cardinal is a mid-sized songbird with a body length of 21 cm (8.3 in). Male cardinal is a vibrant red, while female cardinal is a dull reddish olive. They are beautiful birds.
Red cardinal is a territorial song bird. The male cardinal signs in a loud, clear whistle from the top of a tree or another high location to defend his territory. It will chase off other males entering his territory. Mated pairs often travel together.
Cardinal’s also backyard birds and can attract to bird feeder that contain bird seed such as sunflower seed and safflower seeds.
Bird watching and listening to bird songs is also relaxing and recall the memories in the past in country sides.
