Severe Thunder Storm Heavy Rain Natural Sleeping Sounds Lightning Canon 5d Mark II EF 16-35mm f/2.8L
This is about fifteen minutes of a strong thunderstorm that blew through the south Texas area on April 2nd, 2012 at about 3 am. The video is very dark, almost black at times except for when the lightning goes off, so this would probably be better watched in a dark room. There was a lot of lightning and thunder with this event, most of the lightning strikes are blocked by the clouds. The video starts out with heavy rain and thunder with big flashes of light, mostly cloud to cloud lightning. As the video progresses, the rain level drops off but the lightning strikes and the actual lightning becomes more visible towards the end with the storm moving off to the south, which is the direction the camera is facing. This video was shot with a Canon 5d Mark II with an EF 16-35mm f/2.8L lens. Thanks for watching!
