Ben Sherman Plectrum Sessions // Kyoto Protocol - “Never Know”

Kyoto Protocol is an alternative rock band from Kuala Lumpur and was first formed in 2008. The band consists of lead vocalist/guitarist Fuad Alhabshi, back-up vocalist/keyboard player Gael Oliveres, guitarist Hairi Haneefa, back-up vocalist/bassist Shakeil Bashir and drummer Shanjeev Reddy.

The band’s name came about when they were thinking of Redux Initiative, a literal description of their music. It then reminded them of Kyoto Protocol – an international agreement linked to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

In June 2011, they released their cheekily entitled album, "An Album". Their first single "Pussycat" was a big success and hitting the charts on local airwaves. They have performed a couple of their new tracks from their upcoming album which is scheduled to be released this year.

Ben Sherman is pleased to present Kyoto Protocol as part of the 2013 Plectrum Sessions. In this exclusive video watch Kyoto Protocol t put on a brilliant live performance of "Never Know" from their "An Album" album and hear them talk about their upcoming music journey.
